Hobie Regatta at Sand Hollow June 25, 2011

We participated in our first Hobie Regatta race at Sand Hollow on Saturday. Most of the club members and guests had camped over Friday night and had eaten and raced together. We got in on the afternoon race; our first ever. We had three of us on the boat and our boat is a 1977 model so we really weren't competing to win but just for fun. Their were competitors there from Nevada and Arizona. We had a hard time figuring out the flags and when to start and what the whistles and everything meant. But we came in 6th out of seven boats. We had a great time. We could have stayed for dinner and singing around the camp fire but we had to get back to prepare for Sunday. Andrew had to give a talk and I had to give the Gospel Doctrine lesson! Another fun day at the lake.
