Carlton and Lindsey Taylor's Wedding video

Alexa Turns One!

Miss Alexa Jackson turned one on June 27, 2010 while visiting us here in St. George. We celebrated in St. George and in Orem with Steve's family. She is just taking her first steps and is such a happy fun little girl. We love being Grandparents! She wasn't too interested in her birthday cake but seemed to like her presents. We were so glad we were able to be with her on her first birthday.

Sunbrook Reception June 26, 2010

Carlton and Lindsey's St. George reception was held at Sunbrook. When Lindsey used to help me set up weddings with our Storybook Wedding business she always pictured having her reception there so we made it happen. It was magical! It was wonderful to be together with so many friends and family. She and Carlton had a wonderful day and the start to an amazing life together. His mom, Teri and I, had a great time planning every little detail together. We became instant friends and shared the same tastes and excitement in planning the big event.

June 26, 2010 Lindsey and Carlton get Hitched!

After 5 months of planning-the big day finally arrived! Lindsey Flake was sealed to Carlton William Taylor in the St. George Temple for Time and all Eternity. The day was perfect. Lindsey had mono for the last two weeks after stressing over the wedding, hiking the Subway, running a marathon with Carlton in Provo and lack of sleep. Carlton gave her a blessing on Tuesday morning that she'd be better for the wedding day. On thursday night we could not get her dress zipped up because her spleen was still enlarged from the mono. But on the morning of her wedding day, it zipped right up and she looked beautiful!
The temple sealer did a wonderful job and explained that their marriage is the start of their family. They will do great things together. Such a wonderful match!
We had a lovely luncheon after at the Little Valley Ward house. Teri, Carlton's mom put on a beautiful and delicious spread. It was fabulous!

June 25, 2010 Pre-wedding Party

The night before Lindsey and Carlton's wedding we invited friends and family over to socialize and visit. It seems that the wedding day is so busy that we don't have time to talk to friends and family that have traveled far to be here for the big day. We had shaved ice and treats and had a fun time.

Lindsey and Carlton Bridals June 15, 2010

Wow! Jimmy Bishop from Gideon Photography did an AMAZING job with Carlton and Lindsey's bridal shoot. He also took Danielle and Steve's pictures. He is so great to work with and just does a fabulous job! There were so many good shots that we had a very hard job narrowing it down to even 100.

Below is a link to some of them:

Subway Hike June 2010

We hiked the Subway hike in Zion up by Kolab on Wednesday, June 9. Those who hiked were: Dan, Shelly, Lindsey, Carlton, Andrew, his friends Sam and Brian and our friends Mindy, Chari, Gabe and Beau Suttner. It was a great day. The water was cold but there wasn't as much as some times in the past. It was very beautiful and green and we had a great time. I'm glad that we are able to make this hike about once a year. I think I've gone about 10 times.

Andrew turns 16 and gets his Drivers License!

Andrew turned 16 on his birthday on June 14, 2010. It is also Flag Day. We celebrated his birthday with the Datwylers on the Saturday before as we met together in Logan for a wedding shower party for the family to meet Carlton and have dinner.
On his actual birthday he was home with just dad and he had some friends over and did the giant slip and slide and ordered pizza and watched a movie with some of his friends.
He received his license shortly after. When he took the Driving part of the test he received the highest score possible of "0"; meaning 0 deductions. Mr. Allred said that in all of his years of teaching Driver's Ed, this is the first 0 he has given. He tried hard to think of some area he could take points off, but couldn't. When we took that score to the County Driver's License place the lady at the counter said that in the 3 years that she has worked there, this was only like the 3rd perfect score she has seen and she does that all day long! So I'm pretty proud of Andrew!
I've never felt nervous with him when I've drove with him. He just seems natural and doesn't get all excited or anything. I believe that the fact the he learned to drive on a back hoe and has been doing so for years played a big factor in his skills! Dan has also let him drive on the highway alot for many of their out of town jobs. Great job Andrew!
