Danielle and Steve called us and asked us if we would be willing to tend Alexa while they went on an Anniversary trip to Hawaii. We said that we would be glad to and they said better yet, why don't you come to Hawaii with us and tend! So we went and had another glorious vacation in Paradise. We got great flights on a special that Hawaiin air had and we found a nice condo in Turtle Bay resort. It had two bedrooms and two baths and had everything we needed to have a great time.
Dan's favorite thing was snorkeling and eating at Ted's Bakery. My favorite thing is anything on the beach and just being outside under a palm tree with a cool breeze blowing. Steve liked golfing, swimming with the turtles, and building a big turtle in the sand. Danielle liked pineapple, Matsumoto's shaved ice and shopping at the ABC stores. She also liked the swimming pool at the condo. Alexa loved everything and was perfect! The only problem was that she was still on Portland time so she woke up really early every morning. We took turns getting up with her and I enjoyed taking her for a stroller ride down to the beach at 6:30 in the morning.
We wish our whole family could have been with us but we were just happy that our kids invited us to join them and especially that we got to hang out with our sweet little Miss Alexa. She is almost 15 months. Aloha!
