Phoenix Trip

Steve's office sent him to an Invisalign class in Phoenix so we made of trip of it. It's a bonus that both my sister and Steve's brother's families live there.

On Thursday at 8am we picked up my mom and headed to Phoenix. It was great to have her help with the kids on the way down. They did great for a 7 hour drive. We got to Lindsey's house around 3. The kids played and Lindsey made us dinner. We left my mom and Alexa to stay at Lindsey's house and the rest of us headed to our hotel. It was super nice of Lindsey and my mom to take care of Alexa pretty much the whole weekend. We stayed at the Phoenix Marriott Tempe at the Buttes, which is where his conference was held. Caden slept great but Bennett didn't because he had a cold.

On Friday Steve had his conference from 8 to noon. The rest of us got to spend time at our pool. It was a really fun one. Lindsey, Dillon, Lucy, my mom, Cari Sue and Josh came. It really warmed up by noon. We then had Steve with us and we headed to grab lunch and then we went to Tempe Beach Park. The kids ran around and we went on a walk by the water. We then headed back to the pool and Sean was able to join us that time. At about 5 just our family headed to Sean and Cari Sue's new house and ate a delicious dinner with them. We headed back to the hotel around 8 and everyone slept better that night.

Saturday morning was cloudy and colder so we didn't swim right away. We headed to Riverview Park in Mesa. We had everyone there, including my dad, and Andrew who drove in to town Friday night, Lindsey's family, and Sean's family. For lunch we went to IKEA and shopped around a bit. Next we went on a hike at Hole in the Rock at Papago Park. Sean's family then had to go home and the rest of us went swimming again as it was warmer. We had a pizza party and then called it a night.

Sunday morning we headed to Lindsey's house and joined them for church at 9. The kids were not very reverent. :) Afterward, we visited the new Phoenix temple for a minute and then drove back to St. George. Caden didn't do as well on the drive home and the trip felt a lot longer... we were glad we had such a fun trip though.
