Grandpa Flake's Funeral

Dan's Father, Darrell Gardner Flake passed away on January 22, 2009. We left the next day to drive to Tennessee to attend the funeral that was held on Saturday, January 24. We drove 28 hours straight with Dan, Darrell (our nephew), Dawson and myself driving. It wasn't bad although we drove through a blizzard over the rocky mountains near Vail, Colorado.
The funeral was nice with many friends and relatives in attendance. He was laid to rest in the Davis Cemetary in Clarksville, TN. Dan gave the Family Prayer and many other family members participated in the services. Dan's mother, is doing very well and we packed her up and brought her things to St. George where she will live for now. Dan and Darrell drove the full truck home in that terrible ice storm that went across the midwest. The boys and I flew home on Tuesday so we could get back in school. I'm glad that we know that "Families can be Together Forever".
