Mount Humphries Hike

Dan, Carlton, Lindsey, Dawson and Jade at the top of Mount Humphries. It is the highest peak in AZ.

This is Carlton and Lindsey's 17th High Point conquered!

Dawson doing what he does!

Dawson and Jade stopped at the Marble Canyon bridge overlook on their way to Flagstaff.

Dawson and Jade share a moment on the top of Mount Humphries.

I got to stay in Flagstaff and tend Dillon and Lucy while the others hiked. I took Lucy for an early morning stroll around the golf course to get her back to sleep.

Carlton and Lindsey's First House and DIY Projects

We found both couches at one garage sale in Scottsdale. We framed a world map that Lindsey had order online in a large picture frame that we had found at a garage sale.
Lindsey painted the frame black.

On this trip Dan helped them tile their back splash and put up shelves.
I love the bottles we found at the DI.

Lucy shows off her red, white and blue for the holiday!

Phoenix Sand Storm

We were working on Lindsey's house in Phoenix on the July 4th weekend. We all started to get storm warning alerts on our cell phones. Finally, we went outside to look at the sky.

The dust storm started to get a little closer so we decided it was time to go in. Before we could get to the house, 1 block away, we felt the force of the wind before the cloud of dust. Debris was flying and we grabbed Dillon off of his bike and ran for the house. As we went by our car we could see that we had left the windows cracked open. We ran in and got the keys and Dan went out and hurried and closed the windows. The car was already littered with pine needles that had blown in from the neighbor's tree! It started to rain along with the dust and the wind. It was the first rain that Phoenix had received in 177 days!

These two pictures were provided by the local news station. They are in the Scottsdale area where the storm hit first at sunset! Beautiful look at the marvels of nature!
