The Flake Family Reunion was held in Washington State and hosted by Hal and Desi this year. We first met at Hal's house and then went on up to Mt. Rainier for two nights of camping. The weather was great and of course we had great food and a fun time 24 hours a day.
We got up to Oregon on Sunday night after having to replace the truck's alternator and purchase two new batteries in Pendleton, OR. We brought Rebecca up with us to meet up with her BYU boyfriend, Mathew. We met up with his family at the Portland temple and then went on to Danielle and Steve's apartment in Beaverton. It was great to see them and our sweet little Alexa. She can walk all over the place now and it is so cute how she says "HI" and "Grandpa". Love her.
We just enjoyed playing with her on Monday and on Tuesday we took Danielle and Alexa with us and went up to Hal's place. We visited with all of the family that was there, made some big fires and our family was in charge of dinner that night. We came back to Portland that night because we were going to pick up Rebecca but her plans changed.
We went back up to Hal's and then caravaned with everyone up to Mt. Raineir and camped at the Cougar Rocks campground inside of the park. It was soooo beautiful. The next day we rode up to Paradise and then hiked up into the snow and slid down a glacier. So much fun.
