We enjoyed having Danielle and Steve with us for a week over the Christmas Break. Danielle is expecting in June and this will be our first grandchild. She is starting to feel better and hasn't been too sick. We played games from sun up to sun down. Monopoly, four square, croquet, mini golf, Blurt, Mafia, Phsyciatrist, Sequence, Scum, Mormon Bridge, etc. We even took a fun hike up at Red Cliffs. We missed Lindsey, but were so happy to talk to her on Christmas day. She is doing great and was enjoying the snow as well.

Snow in Logan
We spent four days in Logan and the boys had a chance to build a snowman and we all went Cross Country Skiing up Smithfield canyon with my brother Scott as our guide. It was a great time. Logan received 9 inches of fresh snow on Chirstmas day so there was plenty of fresh powder. It was even fun to shovel the walks since we only get to do it once a year!
Christmas Eve Twice!
Andrew and Dawson make cool wise men!
We had Danielle and Steve visiting from Portland, OR and they had to head to Orem to be with Steve's family on Christmas Eve so we celebrated twice. Actually we opened presents four different time. Christmas Adam with Danielle and Steve, they had to get their new pajamas, then Christmas Eve morning we gave them the rest of their presents. Then in Logan we had Christmas Eve with the Datwylers and opened a few gifts then Santa found us with a few more gifts on Christmas morning! We had a simple Christmas but it lasted a long time! Nothing beats good family, good food and good times!

Christmas Eve at the Soup Kitchen
Last year we were lucky enough to arrange to serve Christmas Eve lunch at the soup kitchen at the St. George Catholic church. We had such a great time that we did it again and hope to be able to make it an annual tradition. We enlisted the help of our ward in buying hams and making potato casseroles and salads. The rolls and desserts come from day old grocery store surplus through the Dixie Care and Share. We arranged to have oranges, candy canes, books, scarfs, and toys donated. We even had Santa and Mrs. Claus there to distribute toys. We all had a fun time and it helped us enjoy the true meaning of Christmas.
Snow Day!
School was cancelled on December 18 because we got so much snow in St. George! We had the neighbor kids in the yard making snowmen, snow forts, and having a big snowball fight. That was to be my last day of school so I got out a day early but the boys had to to back for one more day on Friday. We actually still have some snow on the ground where this fort was and it has been two weeks! That is unheard of; it usually melts the next day when we get snow.

Thanksgiving in Logan
We had 32 at our dinner table in Logan at Grandma and Grandpa Datwylers. We were missing Danielle and Steve and Sister Lindsey and a few other cousings who live out of town. The food was divine and of course we got to play some games and do some shopping the next day. We were able to have two Elders join us and one happened to be from Vancouver, BC where Lindsey is serving her mission. They especially enjoyed the Turkey Bowl football game after the dinner. I enjoyed a morning at the gym with my sisters and Heather and Jen (neices) on Saturday morning. We got in some pilates and spin and tried to work of those pies! Fun times!!
